Welcome to Anchorettes Baton Twirling
Where we are proud to celebrate three decades of excellence in the world of twirling! Our mission is to instill essential values such as self-confidence, good work ethics, respect, and discipline, creating a solid foundation for success in high school, college, and beyond.
Our dedicated team is more than just an organization – we’re a family. We offer a range of twirling programs, from recreational to competitive groups. No matter the level, we emphasize the significance of respect, self-control, and hard work, creating an environment where students can thrive. Our state-of-the-art facilities, including an air-conditioned gym and a stunning dance studio, provide the perfect setting for growth and learning.
At Anchorettes, we believe that twirling is more than just trophies and sparkling costumes. It’s about building a strong work ethic, boosting confidence, and imparting valuable life lessons.
We’re committed to helping our students discover their God-given gifts and talents, empowering them to reach their full potential.
Our Competition Team has a remarkable track record, boasting numerous local, state, and National championships.
Additionally, we take part in local parades and prestigious events like Twirl Mania in Orlando, Florida, showcasing our dedication and skills on a grand stage.
The legacy of Anchorettes dates back to the 1970s when the late Sandy Meyer established the renowned “Anchorettes” twirling group. The program achieved tremendous success in both state and national competitions. Debbie Dingle, our current director, has been part of the Anchorettes family since the tender age of seven, and she proudly continues the tradition based at Advent Church since the 1980s. It brings her immense joy to witness twirlers returning from college to teach and give back to our current Anchorettes, highlighting the enduring impact of our program.
We’re thrilled to share the exciting news of our second location, a wonderful opportunity to extend our twirling family! Now, you can find our exceptional classes available at St. Paul Lutheran School, proudly offered through Anchorettes Baton.
Thank you for considering Anchorettes as your twirling destination. Join us on this incredible journey of growth, learning, and inspiration. Together, we’ll twirl our way to success, guided by our values and a shared passion for twirling excellence.
Kristina Buchholz
Kristina has been twirling with the Anchorettes since the age of five. Fun fact: Baton Twirling runs through our family and I am so thankful to have the opportunity to coach both of my nieces as well as my cousin. I was thankful to have twirled with the Florida Atlantic University Majorettes for the first two years of College. I am beyond honored to give back as Lead Coach for the team and family that helped raise me! I hope to instill courage, faith , and confidence in the next generations not only within the Sport of Baton Twirling but, in life as well.
Kristina also loves serving within her church communities as well as her Via de Cristo community. She absolutely loves to serve God and His children. She is also very active in her health community, and has opportunities to travel the world sharing the story God gave her.
Tori Tirostko
Tori has been twirling for 16 years and grew up with the Florida Superstars, she went on to twirl as a majorette at Florida Atlantic University for four years, serving as captain her senior year. Baton has been a central part of her life, shaping her leadership, teamwork, and creativity, and she is now excited to launch her organization’s new pom program to share that same passion with the next generation of performers.
Alongside her dedication to baton, Tori earned her bachelor’s degree in Health Science and will complete her master’s degree in Exercise Science this fall. After graduating, she plans to attend chiropractic school to continue her journey in health and performance. A naturally creative person, she also runs her own rhinestoning cups business, blending artistry with attention to detail. By combining her academic background, performance experience, and entrepreneurial spirit, Tori strives to encourage others to embrace both healthy lifestyles and creative expression. One of her greatest goals is to inspire young girls in baton and show them the confidence, strength, and joy that the sport can bring.
Sunny Pawlowski
Sunny first began twirling with the Anchorettes as a Kindergartner. She is now an 8th grader, and is excited to help young twirlers find their passion. She also enjoys creating art, reading, and competing in local triathlons. Sunny is looking forward to being a mentor and sharing her baton skills with the younger students!
